Perfect Timing

A guest named Esa came into the Healing Center for the first time today just for the UC Student Run Free Clinic. As we were wrapping up services for the day, Esa finished up at the clinic and asked about shopping in the food pantry, so we checked him in.
One of our warehouse volunteers had already brought out two bikes that day. Near the end of the day, he prayed about whether to bring out a third, and felt led to do it.
As he wheeled the bicycle into the Wearhouse, where guests shop for free clothing, household items, and more, Esa was called to come shop there. His son had asked for a bicycle for his 12th birthday, and one was waiting for him!
Esa had come for healthcare and food. He left with the perfect gift for his son.
Some might call it coincidence. We believe it God’s love, shown through a volunteer who acted on a prayer and a family who was cared for.
