GED Program

Do you need to earn your GED? Did you or someone you know not finish high school? The GED program at the Healing Center is the first step in changing your future.

To obtain a GED requires hard work and dedication and the Educational Leaders at the Healing Center are committed to guiding you through the process.

The orientation to our GED program will provide you with the first steps of a plan for how you will work toward this next goal in your life and give you real strategy to overcome the obstacles that have prevented you from finishing High School or achieving your GED in the past.

The GED program is offered year round and once you have completed orientation you can work on your study during class times, open-lab times, or any time through an online account provided to you. Three class times with tutor support and independent study times are available each week. We look forward to walking with you through this process.

The orientation takes place each month on the first Wednesday morning and first Thursday evening. To check the upcoming schedule please click here and come to one of the classes; registration and language assessment happen on your first visit. Faith & Finances

Are you struggling to make ends meet? Do you have to check your spending on a day to day basis? This 12-week course will help you learn to be the master of your money instead of a slave to your bills.

Through the use of group activities, practice, and lessons, participants will learn how Jesus is renewing all things, including their money and relationships. Though it may not seem like it, God has chosen to use our money to accomplish His work in the world.

We will dig deep and learn how money and relationships are connected, how to overcome financial challenges, live simply, manage debt and give joyfully.

Classes are hosted in one of the newly-updated Healing Center classrooms. Seats are limited to twelve people per session. Be sure to register in advance.

Citizenship

Are you ready to take the next step in becoming a US citizen? The process for naturalization can be confusing and sometimes hard but we are here to help.

This ten week course provides you the opportunity to learn the material necessary to pass the exam, but that’s not all. You will learn about the process, have opportunity to practice the interview, and connect with immigration attorneys to help with your next steps.

Instructors use a curriculum to prepare students for the civics portion of the exam and guest speakers like USCIS and immigration attorneys explain the application and answer common questions. One of the most loved experiences in the course is the opportunity to participate in a mock USCIS interview. Review course materials here
